CRIMINAL PROCEDURE IN THE UNITED STATES
Jonathan Bruce, JD, PhD
VISITING PROFESSOR OF LAW
The goals of Criminal Procedure in the United States are for students 1) to learn the essential principles of criminal procedure in the United States; 2) to understand the practical application of principles of American criminal procedure; and 3) to gain an ability to apply knowledge of these principles in their own practices.
Because this course will include many practical exercises, this syllabus is not intended to be an absolutely fixed schedule. Adaptations will be made in the course of the lectures. Course materials will include actual case studies and pleadings from Dr. Bruce’s practice. Hypothetical criminal scenarios will be used.
