Hygienic importance of the air movement in premises:

  1. Strengthening factor of the temperature influencing to the heat regulation system:

    1. The high temperature’s effect is become weakened (wikend) of combination with a high air speed.

    2. The high temperature’s effect is increased of combination with a low air speed.

  1. An air movement is a factor of the ventilation system. The low air speed is a factor of the microbe’s and chemical substances accumulation. A sufficient air movement should be sanitation factor in premises.

  2. The intermittent microclimate in premises by a high air speed is a factor of catarrhal (ke ‘taral) diseases.

  3. The big importance has direction of the air movement in premises. The air movement’s direction should be from a clean zone to dirty one. From the operating rooms to the corridor in surgery. From the classrooms to the corridor in school. From the clean zone to the active zone in nuclear power station.

Hygienic importance wind speed of the atmosphere ( ‘etmesfie ).

  1. WS is a climate factor.

  2. WS is a factor of the air pollution’s diluting.

  3. The dominant air speed’s direction should be from a clean zone to dirty one. An air speed’s direction is the side from air blows ( bleus ). The quarter from a wind blows is called a windward side . The quarter where a wind blows calls lee side. It is very important for city planning as well as some establishment and factory placing.

Method of the determining air rate movement in premises by the ball catathermometer .

The ball catatermometer dips in hot water by 95-98 oC till red alcohol fill 3 quarter upper reservoir. Wipe the low reservoir with a dry tissue and wait the time till pole of the alcohol is droped from 40 o C till 33 o C. Use this time for air rate’s movement calculation. Other side you should determine the air rate’s movement using special table approximately by meaning H/Q.

H- the air’s ability for cooling. It determined by the special formula (fomiule) (H= Ф x (T1 -T) : where:

F-catatarmometer’s factor in our apparatus is

T1 - T – difference choosing interval (‘intevl). It means 40-33=7

a - the cooling time, in sec.

Q - difference between average meaning body temperature ( 36,5 o C ) and air’s temperature in premises measured.

Propeller and cup anemometer are intended for measuring air’s speed from 1 m/.c till 5 m/c and over till 50 m/s. They contain receptive part and recording part. Recording part have three little dials (daiels) with proper pointers. In total all three dials show quantity of points this apparatus. For measuring air speed you should fix initial indices of all three pointers, turn on fix mechanism and place receptive part to the air movement current. Wait as usual 100 s turn off fix mechanism and calculate difference between initial and last indices. Divide them to 100 s and use this result to determine air ‘s speed movement by special scales.

  1. Wind rose – it is a reccurence (ricarens) frequency of the air’s movement directions in present locality ( leu’keliti ) during the year. Wind rose should determine prevailing (priveiling) wind direction in present locality . It is very important for city planning as well as some establishment and factory placing.
