Semi-finalists are invited to an interview conducted in English before a selection committee composed of U.S. and Ukrainian scholars and officials (May 2010).

The selection committee recommends finalists and alternates to the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board for final decision. The Institute of International Education will assist in determining the hosting U.S. University.

The Fulbright finalists will be approved by the Board of Fulbright Supervisors (BFS). Placements at U.S. universities will be finalized by April 2011.
