"Pediatrics, children's infections"


Handbook for student made on the basis of existing curriculum and programs with academic discipline "Pediatrics, children's infections”. Applications for the discipline of students in higher educational institutions III-IV accreditation levels, "the central methodical study of higher medical education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, 2008 and adapted according to the characteristics of educational qualification of Specialist in General Medicine 7.110101, 7.110104 - Pediatrics, 7.110105 - Preventive Health Care (MH Ukraine of 25.03.2005, № 119) direction of 1101 "Health, education level,"University degree"qualifications 2221.2 "Doctor".


Guide for students in discipline "Pediatrics, children's infectious diseases" for students of medical faculty in higher education level IV accreditation MH of Ukraine prepared in accordance with teaching program for educational qualification of specialist qualifications "doctor" in higher educational institutions of III-IVth levels  of accreditation MH of Ukraine specializing 7.110101 - Medicine (MH Ukraine of 25.03.2005, № 119). 
Reference derived from these regulations: 
- Education and qualification characteristics (EQC) and educational and training program (ETP) of training, approved by Ministry of Education of Ukraine № 239 from 16.04.03 "On Approval of the components of industry standards for higher education, field of study 1101 - Medicine"; 
- Recommendations for curriculum development training courses, approved by the MH of Ukraine № 152 from 24/03 2004 "On Approval of recommendations for curriculum development training courses" as amended and supplemented by the order of the MH of Ukraine № 492 of 12.10.2004 "On Amendments and Supplements with recommendations on curriculum development training courses"; 
- Order MH of Ukraine from 31.01.03 № 148 "On measures for implementation of the Bologna Declaration on higher medical and pharmaceutical education"; 
- Experimental curriculum designed on the principles of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and approved by order MH of Ukraine № 52 from 31.01.2005 "On approval and introduction of new curriculum training educational qualification of specialist qualifications "doctor" in higher educational institutions III-IV accreditation Ukraine in the field "Medicine", "Pediatrics," "Medical and preventive care"; 
 - Order MH of Ukraine № 52 from 31.01.2005 "On approval and introduction of new curriculum training educational qualification of "specialist" qualifications "doctor" in higher educational institutions of III-IVth levels of accreditation Ukraine in the field "Medicine","Pediatrics", "Medical-preventive care" 
- Order MH of Ukraine № 414 from 2007 "About modification in order MH of Ukraine № 52 from 31.01.2005"

Handbook of discipline "Pediatrics, Children infectious diseases for higher medical educational institutions of Ukraine of III-IV accreditation levels drawn for special" medicine "- 7.1100101 and" Pediatrics "7.110104, specialty 1101" Medicine ". Pediatrics, childhood infections is carried out during semesters VII-VIII fourth year of study, IX-X semester V year of study, XI-XII semester and 6th year of study is a logical extension of propedeutics of Pediatrics.
Ultimate goals of learning a discipline

The final goal of educational discipline "Pediatrics, children's infectious diseases" based on the basis of educational objectives outlined in the educational and professional program (EPP). They are defined as follows:
1. Identify etiological and pathogenetic factors of the most common somatic and non-infectious childhood diseases, diseases of newborns.
2. Classify and analyze the typical clinical picture of the most common somatic and non-infectious childhood diseases, diseases of newborns.
3. Identify features of diseases of newborns.
4. Map out the survey and analyze laboratory and instrumental examinations at a typical flow of the most common somatic and non-infectious childhood diseases, diseases of newborns.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of principles of treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of diseases of newborns and the most common somatic and non-infectious diseases of childhood.
6. Diagnose and provide emergency assistance with basic emergency conditions in infants and children with the most common somatic and non-infectious diseases of childhood.
7. To carry out differential diagnosis and put the preliminary diagnosis of disease in typical infants and children the most common non-communicable diseases.
8. Provide assessment of prognosis at the most common somatic diseases and noncommunicable childhood diseases of newborns.
9. Demonstrate knowledge of principles of moral and ethical principles of medical specialists and professional subordination in pediatrics.
10. Asking a preliminary diagnosis of the most common infectious diseases of children.
11. Identify etiological and pathogenetic factors of the most common infectious diseases of children.
12. Distinguish between the clinical course of the most common infectious diseases of children.
13. Identify key areas of treatment of common infectious diseases of children.
14. Identify preventive and anti-epidemic measures for the most common infectious diseases of children.

Ultimate goals of discipline

- Identify the different clinical forms and complications of most common diseases of childhood
- Identify the tactics of the most common diseases of childhood
- Demonstrate the ability of medical records in hospital childhood diseases
- Plan examination for sick child and interpret the results of the most common diseases of childhood
- To put the differential diagnosis and previous clinical diagnosis of most common diseases of childhood
- Diagnose and provide emergency assistance during emergency conditions in the major childhood diseases
