^ EVALUATION OF STUDENTS TRAINING IN DISCIPLINE "PEDIATRICS, CHILDRENS INFECTIOUS DISEASES"

Forms of control and system of evaluation are carried out in accordance with the requirements for the discipline and instruction of the assessment system for learning activities of students in credit-modular system of organization of learning process, approved MH Ukraine (2005).

Score module is defined as a sum of current knowledge management (in points) and assessment of the final module control (in points), which exhibited at evaluation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in accordance with the lists of defined program of discipline.

The maximum number of points assigned to students in mastering each module (credit record) - 200, including current educational activities - 120 points (60%), according to the final module control - 80 points (40%).

Current control is carried out at each practice according to specific objectives of each topic. In evaluating students' learning activities should give preference to standardized methods of testing: testing, structured written work, structured according to the control procedure of practical skills in an environment that close to reality. Evaluation of current learning activities of students described above.

While mastering each topic module for current educational activities of the student estimations for 4-point scale traditional, which are converted into points, depending on the number of themes in the module.

The maximum number of points you can get as a student in the study module is 120. It is the result of multiplying the number of points corresponding to the evaluation "5", the number of themes in the module with the addition of scores for individual independent work due to a fixed program.
The minimum number of points you can get as a student in the study module is calculated by multiplying the number of points that correspond to evaluating "3", the number of themes in the module.
Since the program envisages the performance of individual students' independent work on the Supervision of patients, drafting and protection of medical history, then the module also includes a minimum assessment score that meets the evaluation of "3" for this work. Evaluation of individual work is described in the relevant modules.
Points for individual work is added to the amount of points, recruited a student for current educational activities. Defense of medical history is to be done in the time allotted for independent work of students at the department. Assessment of students' independent work in preparation for classroom workshops carried out during the current control subject at the appropriate audience session.
Evaluation of learning subjects submitted only on independent work which is not included in the topics of classroom training sessions, is monitored during the final module control.
Final module control is carried out on completion of study of all the themes of the module on the last control session with the module.
Before final control students who complete the all types of work, provided the curriculum, and in the study module scored points, no less than the minimum.
The form of the final module is a standardized control which includes control of theoretical and practical training.
The maximum number of points equal to the final module control is 80.
Final module control is admitted if the student’s score sum is at least 50 points.

Evaluation of discipline "Pediatrics, Children's infections" for 6 year students
Forms of control and system evaluation are carried out in accordance with the requirements for the discipline and instruction of the assessment system for learning activities of students in credit-modular system of organization of the learning process, approved by MH Ukraine (2005).
Score module is defined as a sum of current knowledge management (in points) and assessment of the final module of control (in points), which exhibited at evaluation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, according to lists supplied by the discipline.
The maximum number of points assigned to students in mastering of each module (credit record) - 200, including current educational activities - 120 points (60%), according to the final module control - 80 points (40%).
Current control is carried out at each practice according to specific objectives of each topic. In evaluating students' learning activities should give preference to standardized methods of testing: testing, structured written work, structured according to the control procedure of practical skills in an environment that close to reality.
The system of converting a traditional grading system of points:
Traditional evaluation "5" corresponds to the maximum number of points you can get as a student in the study of topics of practical classes. Estimates of "4" and "3" are in points respectively 80% and 60% of the maximum point evaluations.
The maximum number of points you can get as a student in the study module is 120. It is the result of multiplying the number of points corresponding to the evaluation "5", the number of themes in the module with the addition of scores for individual independent work to a fixed program.
The minimum number of points you can get as a student in the study module is calculated by multiplying the number of points that correspond to evaluating "3", the number of themes in the module.
Points for individual work added to the amount of points, recruited a student for current educational activities.

Criteria for assessing learning activities of students while learning module 5 "Pediatrics"
Criteria for evaluating of the current training activities
Practical lessons in the study module "Pediatrics" is structured and provide a comprehensive evaluation in points of all learning activities (learning objectives) that students complete during practice:
1) At the initial stage the control tests students’ knowledge. The results of test control are evaluated positively, if the student has given at least 70% of correct answers. With fewer correct answers the student receives no points. In the overall assessment of current training activities, this stage is 15% of the assessment during the class, that is 1 point.

2) On the main stage of practice practical work of students is assessed at the bedside of a sick child to determine the clinical variations and complications of the most common childhood diseases, determination of tactics of the patient, a sick child test planning and interpretation of the results, a differential diagnosis and staging of the previous clinical diagnosis, of medical records for emergency assistance in major emergency conditions in hospital childhood diseases and childhood infectious diseases, as well as situational tasks, which include practical skills to evaluate the data of laboratory and instrumental studies, algorithms for acute care practice to make manipulations.
In the overall assessment of current training activities, this stage is 50% of the evaluation during a practical lesson. The maximum score - 4 points.
3) At the final stage of practice control by means of the structured clinical problem with the theme sessions, including emergency conditions, to assess the extent to achieve educational goals. In the overall assessment of current training activities, this stage is 30% (3 written response questions each with an estimation problem in a ball).

Assessment of students' independent work in preparation for classroom workshops carried out during the current control subject at the appropriate audience session.

Final module control is carried out on completion of study of all themes of the module on the last control session with the module.
Before final control students who complete all the types of work, provided by the curriculum, and in the study module achieved score points, no less than the minimum.
The form of the final module is a standardized control includes control of theoretical (control test) and practical training (demonstration of student’s skills at the bedside of a sick child, solve structured situational problems of manipulation).
Test control includes 60 test tasks. Maximum score - 30 (0.5 points for 1 correct answer).
Performance of students with practical skills at the bedside (evaluation of the general condition of a sick child, analysis of data history, physical examination and determination of clinical changes in the organs and systems, the rationale of the previous diagnosis, treatment assignment, determination of emergency measures, etc.). Maximum score - 25 (maximum of 5 points for each section - complaint / history, physical examination, appointment / assessment of paraclinical examinations, diagnosis, emergency care / treatment / prevention).
Solving complex structured situational problems, including interpretation of data of laboratory and instrumental investigations, study of clinical diagnosis, determination of therapeutic tactics, purpose of treatment or emergency assistance.Maximum score - 15.
Implementation of a list manipulation - the maximum number of points - 10.
The maximum number of points equal to the final module control is 80. Final module control is admitted if the student scored at least 50 points.
