Meeting with the first Secretary of Israel Embassy in Ukraine
On the 29th of September the ONU rector, academician V. Smyntyna had a meeting with the first Secretary of Israel Embassy in Ukraine , Mark Dovev. He is also a head of the Israel Cultural center in Odessa.
In September the ONU has received a letter with an invitation to cooperate in several fields, such as: providing the students with information about Israel, teaching Hebrew at the University, the organization of the Jewish Culture Day and internships in Israel.
At the meeting V. Smyntyna and M. Dovev discussed these issues. They also discussed the development of scientific exchange in sphere of natural science. M. Dovev underlined that Israel is a country of high technologies, and the ONU is famous for developing in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Israel Ministry of Education will help in further work in development of collaboration with the ONU and Israel Universities.
The ONU rector stressed that “We are interested in development of collaboration with many countries and universities, Israel is one of our priorities. The intensification of our relationships is noticeable for the last five years. The meeting with Mr. Dovev is one of the most fruitful. We managed to define 5 basic ways of collaboration development. There is no doubt that there will be a number of constructive steps which will help to bring our plans to life after this meeting”.
