Reference book for a student on discipline studying “Pediatrics”


The directory for the student is made on the basis of the operating curriculum and the program on a pediatrics subject matter. Programs of a subject matter for students of higher educational institutions of education III-IV of levels of accreditation, the Central methodical office on the higher medical education of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, 2008, also it is adapted accordingly for the educational qualifying characteristic of the expert behind a speciality 7.110101 medical business, 7.110104 - pediatrics, 7.110105 - mediko-preventive business (Order M. of H. of Ukraine from 25.03.2005 years, №119). Directions of preparation 1101 "Medicine", educational level “Full higher education” qualifications 2221.2 “Doctor”.

The faculty pediatrics is a science which studies an etiology, pathogenesis, qualities of a clinical current, diagnostics, treatments and preventive maintenance of the basic illnesses at children's age.


Quantity of class periods 135 (credits ECTS 4,5) from them:

The student is supposed to the total modular control under condition of execution of requirements, but in a case if in activity it has typed less than 70 balls: 56 balls during a practical training (4 х 14) and 14 balls at a case record writing. The total modular control is set off to the student if it has typed not less than 50 of 80 balls.


^ THE PURPOSE OF STUDYING OF SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINE

The ultimate goal of scientific discipline "pediatrics" is based on base of the scientific purposes designated in the scientifically-professional program (SPP). They are designated thus:

1. To define etiologic that pathogenetic factors of the most widespread somatic that not infectious diseases of children's age, illnesses of newborns.

2. To classify and analyze a typical clinical picture of the most widespread somatic and uninfectious diseases of children's age, illnesses of newborns.

3. To define features of diseases of children's age.

4. To make the plan of inspections and to analyze data laboratory and tool and inspections at a typical stream of the most widespread somatic and uninfectious diseases of children's age, illnesses of newborns.

5. To show possession of principles of treatment, rehabilitation and preventive maintenance newborn and the most widespread somatic and not infectious diseases of children's age.

6. To put diagnoses and to render the emergency help at the basic urgent statuses at newborns and at children with the most widespread somatic and uninfectious diseases of children's age.

7. To carry out differentiated diagnostics and to make the preliminary diagnosis at typical transition of illnesses of newborn and most widespread illnesses of children's age.

8. To estimate the forecast at the most widespread somatic and uninfectious diseases of children's age, illnesses of newborns.

9. To show possession morally-deontological principles of medical experiment and subordination principles in pediatrics on specialities.

4. Ability to assist at critical statuses at children (an intestinal toxicosis, neurotoxicosis, spasms, sharp and chronic warm insufficiency, sharp and chronic nephritic insufficiency, a hyperthermal syndrome, a gastroenteric bleeding, an attack paroxysmal tachycardias).

Discipline estimation “Pediatrics”

^ Forms to the control and system estimation are made rather to requirements of the program of discipline and instructions about system estimation educational activity of students at the credit-modular system of the organisation of educational process confirmed MofH of Ukraine (2005).

The estimation for the module is calculated a yak the sum of estimations of line educational activity (in balls) and estimations of the total modular control (in balls) which is exposed at оценивании theoretical knowledge and practical skill accordingly to the list established programs from discipline.

Maximum quantity of balls which is appropriated to students at mastering of each module (the test credit) - 200, in the same number for line educational activity - of 120 balls (60 %), behind results of the total modular control - 80 balls (40 %).

The line control is made on each practical employment according to specific goals with those. At оценивании to educational activity of students it is necessary to prefer the standardised quality monitoring: to the testing, the structured written jobs, structured behind procedure of the control practical skill in the conditions, which approached to the real. Estimation line scientific activity of students described above.

At mastering of each subject of the module for line educational activity to the student marks for 4 balls a traditional scale, which then converted in balls of dependence on quantity that in the module are put down.

The marks will be converted into points depending on the number of the themes in a module as the example below is displaying:

The maximum quantity of balls which the student can type at module studying, is equal 120. It grows out of multiplication of quantity of balls which respond an estimation «5», on quantity that in the module with addition of balls for individual independent to the robot if it is provided by the program.

The minimum quantity of balls which the student can type at module studying, is calculated by multiplication of quantity of balls which correspond to an estimation «3», on quantity by that in the module.

As the program provides obligatory execution individual independent robots of students on inspections of patients, to a writing and protection of the case record, corresponding modules (1,2,4) minimum estimation switches on as quantity of balls which corresponds to an estimation «3» for given to the robot. Еstimation individually robots it is described in corresponding modules.

Balls for individual to the robot are summarised to the sum of the balls typed by the student for line educational activity. Case record protection is spent during time which has been taken away for independent robots of the student on chair.

Еstimation independent robots of students on preparation for a class practical training it is executed during the line control of a subject on corresponding practical employment.

Еstimation development by what are taken out only on independent to the robot and do not enter to subjects of class practical studies, is supervised during the total modular control.

The total modular control comes true on end of studying of all subjects of the module on last control employment from the module.

To the total control students who have executed all kinds robots are supposed, are provided by the curriculum, that at module studying have typed quantity of balls not less than is minimum.

The form of carrying out of the total modular control standardised i switches on the control of theoretical and practical preparation.

Maximum quantity of balls of the total modular control equally 80.

The total modular control is considered included if the student has typed not less than 50 balls.

Еstimation disciplines:

The estimation from therapy is exposed only to students by whom all modules from discipline are included.

The estimation from discipline is exposed as the general estimation for modules, on which structured subject matter.

Incentive balls behind the decision the Academic council can be summarised to quantity of balls from discipline to students who have scientific publications or have occupied prize-winning places for participation in the Olympic Games from discipline among HEU Ukraine etc.

Objectivity еstimation to educational activity of students should will be checked up by statistical methods (correlation factor between line success and results of the total modular control).

Ranking with assignment of estimations "A", "B", "C", «D», «Е» to be spent for students of the given course who study behind one speciality, and have successfully finished studying of disciplines.

Estimations «FX, F» are exposed to students by whom it is not included at least one module from discipline after end of its studying.

The estimation «FX» is exposed to students who have typed a minimum quantity of balls for line educational activity but by which it is not included the total modular control. This category of students has the right to a repeating an examination of the total modular control over the confirmed schedule during a vacation throughout two weeks after end of academic year. Repeated delivery total modular is authorised to the control no more than two times.

The estimation «F» is exposed to students who were present on all practical training from the module, but have not typed a minimum quantity of balls for line educational activity and are not admitted to the total modular control. This category of students has the right to repeated studying of the module.

With the permission of the pro-rector from a teaching department the student can raise an estimation from discipline by a repeating an examination of the total modular control (no more than three times for all period of study).
