The order of study surgical and biopsy material. (Exercise-sectional biopsy rate for the 5th year students of medical faculties and students of 3rd year Faculty of Dentistry). Relevance of the topic: clinico-anatomical orientation of modern medicine is to examine closely the morphological, clinical, and functional changes present in the patient's body. Also, modern methods of treatment lead to morphological changes (pathomorphism) in the affected tissue or organ under the influence of the treatment itself. Thus, before the practitioner is always the challenge of determining the morphological substrate for the disease and correction of therapeutic measures and prognosis of the disease. The overall goal: to be able to provide quality and timely study of surgical and biopsy material and interpret the data for use in everyday medical practice in order to adjust and improve patient care. Be able to: The specific objectives of: A. Determine the objects to be histopathological examination. Two. Mark the purpose of the study and surgical biopsy material. Three. Right to make a fence marking the temporary storage (if necessary) and delivery of the material in the autopsy room. 4. Correctly and completely fill out the form, the direction of the histopathological examination. Five. Rate time allocated for research. 6. Interpret the data to improve patient care. 7. If necessary, arrange the use of archival data and products. The program source of knowledge, skills: A. Recognize the structure of normal tissues and cells (Department of Histology). Two. Identify changes in the structure of cells and tissues as a result of the pathological process (Department of Pathomorphology). Three. To compare the morphological changes with clinical data (Department of Pathophysiology). 4. Determine the patient's tactics in the light of morphological data (Department of clinical sciences). Assignments to check the source of knowledge, skills. Task 1. Histopathological study of biopsy bronchial mucosa showed that the mucous membrane covered with ciliated epithelium with an increased number of goblet cells in some places passing into stratified squamous neorogovevayuschy; own plastic lining full-blooded, sclerosed, diffusely infiltrated by lymphocytes, cystic dilated glands. These changes correspond to: A. Acute catarrhal bronchitis. B. Acute hemorrhagic bronchitis. C. Chronic bronchitis with metaplasia of the surface epithelium. D. Inflammatory glandular polyps. E. After 5:00 the baby's condition deteriorated and he was transferred for further treatment in the ICU. Do I need to be directed to the last study in this case? A. No, because the child after birth has been satisfactory. B. No, because the labor proceeded normally. C. Yes, because the child's condition worsened. D. Yes, because all the following should be investigated. E. Yes, but in consultation with the head of the pathology department. Task 2. In the autopsy department delivered a remote appendix. Clinical diagnosis in the direction of the histopathological examination: acute simple appendicitis. What is the purpose of this case, pathohistological studies? A. Clarification and confirmation of the diagnosis. B. Diagnosis. C. Determination of the initial stage of the disease. D. Determination of radical surgery. E. Identification pathomorphism disease. Task 3. In the registry pathology department received a call from a beauty shop clinic at the absence of pathohistological opinion biopsy. The attending physician reported that the material is taken from the direction of the histopathological study of relatives of the patient was referred for delivery to the autopsy room. In the postmortem department such material was not registered. Who is responsible for the delivery of the material in the autopsy department? A. Relatives of a patient who has taken the material. B. The attending physician. C. The doctor who prescribed the study. D. Head of Department in which the fence is made of the material. E. Orderly offices, where the fence is made of the material. Task 4. Through histopathological study of scrapings from the uterus, resulting in dilatation and curettage, a physician-pathologist noted that the direction of the histopathological study, except for passport data, name of hospital and doctor's offices and surname, given only the diagnosis: "Violation of the menstrual cycle." What other data needed to be sure to indicate in this case? A. The number of births. B. The number of abortions. C. Place of work. D. The methodology of the studies. Classes are held in the form of a seminary at the beginning of which is determined by the initial level of knowledge (tests for monitoring the initial level of knowledge).
