To be eligible for admission students are to perform successfully at the interview on the contents of professional specialization courses studied while obtaining Bachelor’s / Specialist’s Degree. To be enrolled to study for free (government-sponsored studies) high study rating scores (for Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Graduates only) and exceptional achievements in research (articles published, conferences and research projects participation, winning scientific contests) are important. General description. The aim of this degree programme lies in training highly qualified professionals for work in educational institutions of different levels of accreditation, scientific institutions, bodies of state and local education system administrations, social protection and health care institutions, taking up the positions meant to be occupied by professionals with Master degree Certificate. ^ Master degree holders should possess a number of personal qualities and well-systematized scientific knowledge, necessary for effective organizational work; exhibit formation of the main groups of organizational abilities and system modeling level of organizational activity. ^ have a clearly-formed and scientifically grounded world view, understanding of philosophical and religious concepts of life origin, evolutional processes; be aware of the main trends in world philosophical thought of the past and present concerning the issues of humanity’s place in the universe, correlation of everything existing in the world; recognize the role of cognition in understanding reality, establishing the laws of nature and society, ensuring human activity and humanity’s responsibility for nature preservation; know the most important fields and stages in development of humanitarian, social, economic and natural sciences, main scientific schools and concepts; be aware of the main historical epochs in the life of humanity, have knowledge of historic events, biography and life of outstanding people of the past. On completion of the programme master degree holders are expected to know: basics of general theoretical disciplines necessary for the solution of educational, methodological and organizational tasks; fundamentals of psychological and pedagogical specialization courses; contents and principles of organization of fundamental and applied research in the field of preschool education; fundamentals in general theory of administration, contents and principles of education administration; the main trends in modern technical, psychological and pedagogical fields development. On completion of the programme students (master degree holders) are expected to be able to: apply knowledge acquired to solve research, teaching, scientific and methodological tasks; conduct educational activity; evaluate students’ learning outcomes; perform and regulate fundamental and applied research; work out techniques for applied tasks solution; prepare analytical reports on research conducted; publish the results of his/her scientific work; use computer in teaching and educational process, use mathematical methods for data processing and model building. On completion of the programme students (master degree holders) should: know and use the main current teaching techniques; be able to organize fundamental and applied research; select tools for fundamental and applied research; apply methods of experimental data processing; use the methodology of teaching pedagogical and methodical courses at educational institutions of different levels of accreditation; be able to organize administrative activity in educational institutions and establishments. Graduates professional profiles. On getting the qualification Master degree holders are eligible to perform such kinds of professional work as research, administrative, consultative, prognostic, educational, remedial, diagnostic and will be able to work as: teacher at primary school; primary school education manager; the head of Education administration department; the head of scientific and methodological department; educational specialist at higher educational institutions of different levels of accreditation. 5. Access to further studies. On receiving Master of Primary School Education Degree graduates are qualified for admission to postgraduate programme in Higher Educational Institution Administration, Theory and Methodology of Professional Education, Theory and Methodology of Upbringing, Theory and Methodology of Teaching. Assessment requirements: One-hundred-point system of students’ assessment is used at the university.
